The hike was organized as a point to point hike with a few vehicles staged for shuttling back. This location is in the Belle Valley Section of the Buckeye Trail, Points 16 thru 18 on the map.
It was an awesome hike on the Buckeye Trail in the Belle Valley Section, by the Senecaville Dam. It was a 4.54 mile hike, mostly “off road” which means “on trail!”
Winter is still holding on with the lack of greenery, but the temperature was nice in the forties, good for hiking weather.Parts of this section need a little bit of work, as evidenced by this blow down about one mile into the section. There are some good hills on this section.
You know if you are by a fire tower you’re on the highest point in the area at 1198 feet.
It would be hard to beat this view from this location.
The last hill-really! The five kids on the hike were troopers.
Did you get out for a hike or run on this last day of winter?
